Mount Rinjani National Park(Lombok) is one type of ecosystem with mountainous rain forest and savanna located on the island of Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara. TNGR designated as a National Park area through the Decree of the Minister of Forestry No.280/Kpts-II/1997 with extensive field 40.000hA although the extent of more than 41.000 ha.
TNGR have a variety of flora, among others; Jelatang (Laportea stimulant), Dedurenan (Aglaea Argentea), Pterospermum (Pterospermum javanicum), banyan (Ficus benjamina), Guava-jambuan (Syzygium sp) Keruing (Dipterocarpus hasseltii), Rerau (D. imbricatus) , Mountain Pines (Casuarina Junghuniana) Eidelweis (Anaphalis javanica) and several kinds of orchids are endemic forest and P. Lombokensis Perisstylus Rinjaniensis. While the variety of fauna which is owned by TNGR among others; Weasel Rinjani (Paradoxurus Hemaprhoditus Rinjanicus), Deer (Muntiacus muntjak Nainggolani), Javan Lutung (Trachypithecus Auratus Kohlbruggei), pangolin (Manis javanicus), birds Cikukua Horn (Philemon Buceroides Neglectus), Dawah Forest (Ducula Lacernulata Sasakensis), Black nape orioles (Oriolus chinensis Broderipii) and several species of reptiles, plus a number of freshwater fish species that live in the lake Segara Anak, among others; Mujair and Carp.
In the lava mountains (2.800mdpl) died as a result there are craters on the volcano Rinjani (estimated to occur in the Pleistocene era <1.8>Simply describing the area of the lake. Komodo Island (Nusa Tenggara archipelago)is an island located in the Nusa Tenggara Islands. Komodo Island is known as a habitat for animals native Komodo dragon. This island is also the Komodo National Park which is managed by the Central Government. Komodo Island to the west of Sumbawa Island, separated by Sape Strait.
Administratively, this island including the District of Komodo, West Manggarai District, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia. Komodo Island is the most western tip of Nusa Tenggara Timur province, bordering the province of West Nusa Tenggara. Komodo Island, Komodo dragons animals live and breed well. Until August 2009, on this island there are about 1300 male Komodo dragon. Coupled with other islands such as Pulau Rinca and Gili and Motang, the overall amount they reached about 2500 individuals. There are also around 100 dragons tail Wae Wuul Nature Reserve on the mainland island of Flores but was not included in the Park.
Besides dragons, this island also store a variety of exotic flora Sepang wood by local people used as medicine and dye clothes, this nitak tree or sterculia oblongata in believe are useful as medicines and seeds and crispy and tasty as the peas.
In 1910 a Dutchman named the island in the south side of East Nusa Tenggara Province is nicknamed the Island of Komodo. This story begins with Lieutenant Steyn van Hens Broek who tries to prove statements about the presence of Dutch troops large animal resembling a dragon on the island. Steyn then killed a Komodo dragon and bring documentation to the Museum and Botanical Garden in Bogor to be investigated.
In 2009, the Park has been named a finalist "New Seven Wonders of Nature" new years was announced in 2010 by voting online at www.N7W.com
